Well this is a relative question and can include several points of views. According me, i guess novels act like a binding factor. Plus in the novel the experiences that were explained mostly gained empathy from it's readers. Once the empathy link was secured people began to take action against these unfair experiences. Power of words... Several freedom fighters rested on the cushioning of words to make change. Not all freedom fighters have to fight, sometimes words (Even word of mouth, not necessarily novels) create subversive undercurrents!

Metals under the periodic table are divided into three parts. Alkali metals, Alkali earth metals and transition metals. Metals are electropositive and as we go down the periodic table atomic radius, reactivity, boiling point, melting point, and density increases. Transition metals form coloured compounds and have variable valencies. For example copper is a reddish orangish metal and with sulphate forms a blue colour aqueous salt. Though that is just theoretically because a person can expend a great amount of energy tying to move a wall but if the wall doesn't move there is no work done because there is no distance traveled!
