using the approx formula for PE i.e. PE = mxgxh [HTML_REMOVED] PE = 4x2x10 (considering g=10 m/s^2)[HTML_REMOVED] PE = 80 Joules [HTML_REMOVED]now thermal energy = 80 % of PE [HTML_REMOVED]=(80x80)/100 =64 joules -> answer

Ratan, I noticed that you tried to add some HTML to make the answer look good. You can use the toolbar buttons above the answer text books to do text formatting. If you need line breaks, then leave a blank line in between. HTH.
