A

physical - reversible (the change back is quite easy to do). chemical - "irreversible" (changing it back cannot be done easily). A physical change is when the same compound/chemical just changes form but is still the same substance. For example, ice melting to water (it is still water, just now in liquid form) and beating gold into rings (it is still gold, you only changed its shape) are both physical changes. A chemical change is one where bonds have changed; the substances(s) present when you started the change are different from those when it is finished. For example, the combustion of glucose gives you carbon dioxide and water. Notice the glucose has combined with the oxygen to form completely new chemicals, i.e. CO2 and H2O.
